Join us at RWM – a key highlight in a busy month in the recycling calendar

September is a busy time in the recycling calendar with key annual events including Recycle Week from 24-30 September and the 25th Great British Beach Clean from 14-17 September. These are events that we are proud to support yearly, through a planned programme of activity. In 2017, for example, we undertook beach litter research  to encourage maximum levels of recycling and we’ll be doing some follow up research again this month – so watch this space!

These key events are preceded by the UK’s largest event for recycling and waste management companies RWM 2018, running from 12-13 September. As we indicated in our August blog post, we’re proud to be involved, and will be showcasing our extensive portfolio of sacks, bags and speciality products for the storage and collection of waste and recyclables.

Visitors to the show will have the opportunity to hear me discussing why I believe it’s ‘Time to stop bashing the plastics.’ I’ll be talking on this issue on the first day of the show, Wednesday 12th September, in the Recycling Theatre from 1:15 – 1:45 and hope that you can join me there. If you’d like to tweet about the talk, our official Twitter feed is @CromwellPoly and the show hashtag is #RWM18.

If you’re attending the show, our team would also love to meet you at our Stand 5P32 where you can get a sample of our newly improved LowCO2t™ range. The products use less material to achieve the same performance standards and are packaged in smaller white cartons. This means the volume of plastic used is minimised, as are the carbon emissions during production and transport.

We will also be displaying our kerbside and multi trip recycling bags which are tailor-made for the collection of dry recyclables, such as plastic, paper, glass bottles and jars, cans and cardboard. You can also find out more about our compostable food waste caddy liners which help divert waste from landfill, reduces harmful greenhouse gases and provides valuable compost and biofertiliser for the land, or renewable energy.

Sustainability is part of our DNA here at Cromwell Polythene. We are committed to reliably and consistently supplying high quality products with the lowest environmental impact. We also do all that we can to champion community recycling best practice and improvements to waste management and recycling infrastructure. That’s why we’ll continue to be involved in events like RWM which brings together the biggest and most influential figures to talk about the topics directly affecting the industry now and shares the latest innovations pioneering the recycling and waste management sector.

It’s not too late to be part of RWM to gain insight about developments, innovations, products and services that are helping build a resource-efficient future. You can get your free ticket here – we hope to see you there!
